The Methodology of Academic Work course is designed to support first-year AES students in their transition to university studies. It aims to provide essential tools and methods required for effective learning, academic success, and autonomy in higher education. It introduces the organization and expectations of higher education while developing essential academic skills. Students learn effective note-taking techniques, time management strategies, and methods for planning their workload. The course also covers basic academic research, the use of reliable sources, and principles of academic writing. Emphasis is placed on proper referencing, academic integrity, and avoiding plagiarism. By the end of the course, students are better prepared for exams and capable of working autonomously across all subjects in the AES program.
